Arsenal will open their 2024-25 Premier League season with a home game against Wolves, the Premier League fixtures revealed on Tuesday.
Mikel Arteta’s team will look to go one better than in their previous two campaigns, losing out to Manchester City on both occasions, including on the final day of the season in 2023-24.
Arsenal travel to the Etihad to play City on Sept. 21 and host them at the Emirates on Feb. 1 in matches that could have a significant influence over the eventual destination of the title.
Arsenal’s last league triumph came in the “Invincibles” season of 2003-04 and haven’t won a trophy since the FA Cup in 2020.
Arteta’s side face their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sept. 14 away from home in just their fourth game of the campaign, hosting the return fixture on Jan. 14 at the Emirates.
Despite falling short of City in last season’s title race, Arsenal enjoyed a successful run-in, losing just one of their final 18 Premier League games. In 2024-25, they will take on Liverpool, Newcastle United and Southampton in their final three fixtures.
