Real Madrid have resurfaced in the race for Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, according to The Athletic.
Los Blancos are reported to have “reignited” their interest for the 23-year-old after their Champions League final victory over Borussia Dortmund, with the LaLiga club looking to reinforce their defence this summer.
Davies was previously linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu throughout last season, but after their interest cooled, Bayern have made progress in signing him to a new contract at the Allianz Arena, and he is said to be leaning towards staying in Germany.
New Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany is keen to keep the Canada international as part of his squad for next season, and reportedly spoke about him before accepting the role.
Davies is expected to take part at the Copa America later this month, with Canada taking on Lionel Messi and Argentina on June 21.

An agreement is reported to have already been reached in principle over personal terms with the 28-year-old, with the Bundesliga side willing to make an offer worth €45 million to persuade the Cottagers to part ways with him.
– Liverpool are facing competition in the race for Atalanta midfielder Éderson, reports AS. Despite the Reds preparing to go “all out” to sign the 24-year-old, Manchester United, Napoli, and Bayer Leverkusen are said to be among the clubs also keen on the Brazil senior international. It is reported that an offer worth between €40 million and €50 million to land him.
– A verbal agreement has been reached between West Ham and Palmeiras over a deal for winger Luis GuilhermeFabrizio Romano. A deal worth €23 million plus add-ons and a 20% future transfer percentage clause has been agreed between the two sides, with the 18-year-old set to undergo his medical next week.
– Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been placed on Manchester City’s short list, reports The Standard. It is reported that the Citizens see him as a player who could be a strong future fit for their squad, but they aren’t expected to make a move for him this summer.
