MILWAUKEE — Damian Lillard missed the Milwaukee Bucks’ 132-116 loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday night.
The Bucks’ injury report for Monday’s game listed the seven-time all-NBA guard as out for personal reasons. The Bucks also were without reserve guard Cameron Payne because he’s in concussion protocol.
It marked just the third game Lillard has missed this season. He missed two games in early November with a sore right calf.
Lillard is averaging 25.1 points, 6.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds this season, his first in Milwaukee since the Bucks acquired him from the Portland Trail Blazers.
With Monday’s defeat, the Bucks have now lost four of their past five games.
“You’ve got to stay together, that’s it,” Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo said. “If you try to go your way or do it yourself, it’s not going to work. We’ve been in this position before. It’s OK to be in this position … but then again, at the end of the day, we have to get better. We have to realize that we have keep on doing the little things.”
